Sleep is very important. Always make sure you get enough sleep.
Artist daughter painted me this awesome homage to Lucy Van Pelt!
It will live in the Reading Corner.
That basket you see, currently collecting crocheted squares, is kind of a gift to myself. They're made by a rural artisans in Bangladesh and sold by SERRV - click here to buy these or many other awesome Fair Trade crafts by rural farmers and artisans around the world. You buy them in a bundle of three, and I gave 2 as gifts and kept this one. The nifty M&Ms stress relief ball was a Christmas gift from my dad.
When in doubt, sleep.
The annual Scooter Calendar is always a cherished gift. The 2013 is its fourth edition.
Oh, and the dining table collapsed.
Fortunately Christmas dinner was over. It's done this several times, about once every 15-20 years. The repair guy picked it up yesterday.
Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow!

What is the story behind the Scooter calendar?
Oh! Oh! Scooter Calendar! And what a great cover picture on this one: Monorail Scooter. I should make a Ft. Harrington calendar for next year (probably right after I finish my book proposal on the Fourth Earl.)
And a collapsing dining room table is the potential stuff of future family lore.
Is Downy all rested up yet?
The calendar idea just sort of presented itself, mostly because of Scooter's strong and Kodak-moment-heavy personality, and because Larry has a camera with him everywhere he goes. So he started the tradition for 2010. It might feature one or 2 of my photos, mostly Larry's. He gets them printed as annual family Christmas gifts, at lulu.com -- that's a link to this year's, with preview! Oh yes, Sherwood, you could do an *awesome* calendar with the Fort Harrington stars, and so could most of my 4-foot-loving friends. Mojo's would be very Commander-In-Chiefish, i bet.
Oh, and since he's just sampled some super catnip, it's difficult to assess whether Downy is rested up or not. But i suspect not.
What a great calendar! Congratulate Larry for me on a job well-done. Double-congratulate Scooter.
Can I vote for April and July as my favorites?
Darn...no "like" button. Darn that Facebook.
*chuckle* and Happiest of holidays to y'all!
What a great tradition!
