In which we discover that rearranging the house is as much work as moving out altogether

I'm time-challenged right now because we're shifting things in our house.

O yeah? Big deal!

It is for us. I'm sure it's obvious that we live in a nice house, but what's not obvious is that we live in only half of it, and what we're doing right now is switching halves. It's creating a major weed-out of unused stuff, and rediscovery of forgotten things.

Aw, man. Tower Records was so awesome. Tower dot com isn't the same.

Did Brenda win?

Apparently not! Best i can find is that she was a deputy coroner and doesn't seem to have won when she tried for the elected position. I think we picked the sign off the highway after elections so we could reuse its foam board.

Um, well, as a Yankee, where coroners are hired according to their abilities, education, etc., I wanted the sign because, well, no one knew if Brenda met the requirements or if she was a friend of a friend.

I mean, think about the female southern chef on the Food Network. You walk into the coroner's office and hear her loud grating voice, "Hi y'all, come on in and set a spell while I fix things up here. . ."

Electing a coroner? Come on. I'm just saying. . .
