Contrast

We get winter, too. Not like some of my friends get it, but today's high made it up to freezing: 32° f. Tonight's low will be 15°.

Taken about 20 minutes ago: hose-shaped ice shards, which spurted out when Larry turned the water on to fill the birdbath.

Oh my god! It is teh ice! Run! Run away!

(Just pullin' your leg. Anyplace where it gets below freezing is "real" winter in my book. Meanwhile it was -32c here last night and this morning our bathroom pipes were frozen. If it wasn't for taxpayer-funded medicare this country would be a wasteland.)

It was so cold here last night that our propane forced-air furnace kicked in. That only happens when the temperature drops below 50F!

It was so cold here yesterday that I bought a cup of coffee to go and two birds came down and landed on the edge so they could soak their feet in it.
