The weirdest thing is that this year for the first time in Canada we're seeing "Black Friday Sales" and "Cyber Monday Sales". In Canada. Where Thanksgiving was on a Sunday over a month ago.
It's apparently an attempt to stop people from cross-border shopping for the US post-Thanksgiving sales, whether physically or online. We'll have to wait and see how successful it is. But day-am, it is weird to see sales for economic marker days that don't exist in your own country.
ronnie, you should just be glad they don't start this up after YOUR Thanksgiving. Flipping stations on the radio yesterday, I heard a station promote itself as "Playing the music you want to hear!" and "Your holiday music station!"
